All Eyes On Oxford

Tonight all eyes, not just around the Country, but around the World, will be on Oxford Mississippi for the First Presidential Debate. At 11:00am EST Senator McCain announced he will be at the debate this evening. The topic of the debate tonight is Foreign Policy, but last night Tom Brokaw, said that avoiding the topic of Economics would be impossible since both topics really go hand in hand.

McCain said earlier this week that he would not attend the debate unless a solution had been made on the Economic Crisis. As of yet there has not been one made and last night Washington Mutual (WAMU) collapsed and was taken over by Chase. Things are getting worse and worse with the Economy and hopefully soon the economy will turn around.

This election is important. No matter who you are supporting, we as a nation need to choose the right character and person to lead the country in the right direction. I have yet to make a decision. I am stuck in the middle of the issues and see the negatives and positives on both sides.

If McCain had not showed up to the debate tonight that would have been it for me. I would have then voted Obama. Now I am still split.

Tonight if you are interested in watching the debate you will be able to watch from anywhere in the world on http://www.mpbonline.org also with the live stream there will be a live chat where you can join in on the debate and the discussion.

I hope to see you all tonight I will be moderating the chat as I have been every night this week.

Heroes Season 3 Premiere

Over the Summer my friends and I have developed one common love for the TV show Heroes. Finally last night Season 3 premiered and it was amazing (I would like to apologize all that follow me on twitter for my outbursts and insane tweets). So in the end we have decided we just all need to get together and have a Heroes party every Monday to watch the show.

Wilma had to work last night unfortunately, so today she was catching up on what she missed while we were sitting at cups. We also have decided to do a little video blog of the show on what we think, our views, theories, how hot Peter is etc. Anyway, This is the first video and we hope you enjoy (And yes most likely others from the group will be joining in on this. I haz a feeling):

Busy

I've been really busy lately and trying to get back on my feet. I've put the blog on hold for the time being until I can get some other things in my life straight.

I have a pretty full schedule with school and if you haven't heard I am putting together a New Media Conference at Mississippi College by the end of the Semester (it's for a grade).

If you have not heard my Uncle recently passed away suddenly.

I'm just stressed and emotionally exhausted. Please just be patient I will be back with more blog posts.

Mississippi College "New Media" Conference

I am in the planning stage of putting together a "New Media" Conference at Mississippi College for a class. Yeah, it will be a grade for me which means most likely I will go over the top like I did for Senior Project in High School (yes I've put together a workshop before but it was on "Things With Wings").

Right now I am looking for people who are interested in the conference. Anyone who wants to attend speak etc. I will be working with our Communications department here at MC to put it together but I would love any ideas or advice for you all as well.

If you are interested please e-mail me at iellietv@gmail.com

I wanted to click it but did not in the end.

Has anyone gotten this ad before? if you have did you click it? I'm curious as to what it does and where it goes.
